Women’s health is facing an urgent, often overlooked crisis, affecting half of our population. Cardiac health, reproductive health, pelvic floor health, mental health, autoimmune disorders, and chronic conditions disproportionately impact women.  

Calgary Health Foundation envisions a future where women’s healthcare receives adequate attention and resources. Together, we can be at the forefront of driving that change. Through the Hospital Home Lottery, we will direct essential funds to address the unique health challenges women face, ensuring proper diagnosis, treatment, and care across southern Alberta. Your support will help bridge the gaps in women’s healthcare.  

The Women’s Cardiovascular Health Clinic, which aims to transform heart health for women at every stage of life will be at the forefront of this change. As the number one cause of death for women worldwide, cardiac disease claims a woman’s life in Canada every 16 minutes. Despite these alarming statistics, women with heart disease face systemic inequities in the healthcare system.  

The Women's Cardiovascular Health Clinic will be an internationally recognized center of excellence, providing comprehensive care with a multidisciplinary approach. Our goal is to create an innovative clinical space, integrate cutting-edge technology, offer holistic cardiac rehabilitation, and engage in community education and referrals. Together, these efforts will provide a strong foundation to meet the distinct needs of women’s heart health.
